Lead smelting and refining business is TOHO ZINC's other core business. This business ranks equally with zinc smelting and refining. Lead and silver products are both vital to modern life, and as Japan's largest manufacturer of these products we have a responsibility to maintain a reliable supply by diversifying our sources of raw materials.
We are also contributing to the establishment of a recycling-based society through our involvement in the recovery of used lead batteries. We have established a recycling system that turns lead recovered from these batteries into new products.
We will promote our manufacturing activities aimed at maintaining a harmonious relationship among people, society and the Earth.
