With eco-friendly recycled material, TOHO ZINC is building a new future for non-ferrous metals.

In 1973, TOHO ZINC became the first company in Japan to commercialize a zinc oxide manufacturing method based on the recovery of electric furnace dust. As a leading company in this field, we have focused on non-ferrous metal recycling ever since, and have continued to develop advanced environmental technology.
Using our unique technology that is unmatched anywhere in the world, we recycle electric furnace dust, which is the main raw material of zinc oxide.
Marketed as Ginrei R, this product is a rubber accelerator used in the production of automobile tires. We also recycle small rechargeable batteries in cooperation with the Japan Portable Rechargeable Battery Recycling Center (JBRC).
We recover valuable metals through material recycling operations at our Onahama Smelter and Refinery.
We help to maintain affluent and comfortable lifestyles by turning valuable metal resources recovered into high-quality recycled products.
