At Toho Zinc, we consider environmental issues to be a top management priority, and strive for thorough compliance management. To this end, we have established an Environmental Declaration, which serves as a guideline for environmental conservation activities at Toho Zinc. We promote familiarity with these guidelines on the part of each and every employee.

In order to fulfill our duties as a responsible corporate citizen and shape a pleasant society to live in, now and into the future, we remain committed as ever to further improving environmental management systems throughout the Group.

Environmental Philosophy

The Toho Zinc Group considers environmental conservation to be an important management issue. In order to fulfill our duties as a responsible corporate citizen and shape a pleasant society to live in, now and into the future, we will maintain positive communication with local communities and engage in environmental improvement activities, including reducing environmental impact, mitigating climate change and preserving biodiversity.

Basic Policies

  1. We will strive for sustained environmental conservation, through application of environmental management systems, and establishment as well as periodic revision of environmental goals and targets.
  2. We will strictly adhere to both environmental laws and regulations and voluntary management standards, striving to prevent pollution.
  3. To ensure an appreciation of the effects of our business operations on local communities and increase awareness of environmental conservation on the part of all employees, labor and management will engage through mutual trust and respect in environmental training and education.
  4. We will strive to make effective use of limited resources, reduce environmental impact, mitigate climate change and preserve biodiversity.
  5. We will promote awareness of these environmental policies on the part of all Toho Zinc Group employees, as well as disclose them publically.
